Getting down to work / Iniziando

I'm delighted to be starting the year by dirtying the floor in
my "new" studio with some very crumbly red chalks, seeing the
stencil numbers on the table and choosing exactly
which red to use. There seem to be so many but in the end it
comes down to the usual two or three.
Sono contentissima di iniziare l'anno con i stencil, i gessetti 
e la scelta di esattamente quale sfumatura di rosso mi serve. 
Sembrano essere tanti ma alla fine la scelta è tra i soliti 
due o tre.

Map of Marco's life so far / Mappa della vita di Marco

I recently finished this map for Marco's life so far,
his places, people, litterature. I was commissioned
by two of his colleagues who wanted a special present
for his retirement. They tell me he loved it.

Ho appena finito questa mappa della vita di Marco, 
i suoi posti, le persone, la letteratura e i piatti. 
Ero commissionata da due suoi colleghi che volevano 
fare un regalo speciale nel momento che andava in 
pensione. Mi dicono che gli piace tanto.
